Shuai Wang

Shuai Wang[CV] is now a researcher working at Huawei Noah's Ark Lab. His current research interests include Large Language Models (especally in supervised finetune), information retrieval with LLM and biomedical informatics. He has published several papers on conferences in AI, data mining and interdisciplinary fields. He has been involved in several commercial projects and promoted the business success of the products with AI algorithms.

Main Projects

5G New-Calling.

5G new calling solution adds the new IMS Data Channel (DC) based on the traditional audio/video call, which can transmit any media synchronously to bring rich interactive and immersive services and meet user requirements of multi-dimensional and real-time multimedia interaction.

mainly responsible for building the AI-based experience competitiveness in this project, including:

* AI-based video call experience optimization solution design, such as AI-based enchancement, AI-based codec optimization, and AI-based flow contril.

* Algorithms research and implementation. I implemented the core deep learning based algorithms of video/screenshot enhancement, autofocus, background replacement, etc

Pangu Language Model.

The Pangu Model 3.0 consists of three layers of architecture: L0 foundational LLM, L1 industry-specific model and L2 scenario-specific model, and this will help reshape thousands of industries.

mainly involved in the work of the supervised fine tune of large language models and Chinese information retrieval. Especially focus on the research for invoking the function calling ability of LLM
